The focus was on combining poses and urban objects that reflect a raw, subcultural side of the city.
Instead of the standard black-and-white approach, I on purpose chose a green tone, because I feel it strengthens the underground vibe and adds a dark, unsettling layer to the images.
I also used flash to create hard light and strong contrasts, emphasizing the tension and sharpness within the series.
The result is a mini-series where anonymous figures and urban details together evoke a story of silence, darkness, and the hidden side of Nijmegen’s city life.
